Throne of Bhaal Quest List
Throne of Bhaal is more linear than Shadows of Amn, so a quest list is not quite as important as it was in that game. I recommend reading through my
ToB area guide, which will help you make sure you haven't missed anything in each area of the game.
Without spoiling any of them, though, here is my list of the major ToB quests, with the synopsis you get when they're assigned
(note that this information may be incomplete or wrong in some cases--questgivers do not always tell you the whole story!)

Unlike my SoA quest list, this list includes quests that are really just advancements of the main Prophecy
of Alaundo quest, simply because of the linear nature of this game--most Throne of Bhaal quests must be completed before you can move
on to the next, and the list would be too confusing and incomplete if I left out all the quests which were technically just subquests
of the main plot.
Major Quests in Throne of Bhaal:
Watcher's Keep
You get this quest: From some priests of Helm as soon as you enter the map square.
The quest is: Battle through the five levels of the tower, break the seal to the Imprisoned One's jail, then re-imprison him.
Notes: You can do this quest either from SoA or ToB, which is why I'm putting it first on the list even though you won't be able to
reach it from ToB until after Saradush. For details on the areas and subquests in this tower, click here.
Prophecy of Alaundo
You get this quest: From the narrator and the big stone heads at the start of the game.
The quest is: Discover and fulfill the prophecy of the Bhaalspawn... one way or the other.
Notes: This quest, as you could probably figure out, will take you all game to accomplish.
Romance With Jaheira
You get this quest: If you bring it with you from SoA.
The quest is: Much easier than the corresponding SoA quest..
Special conditions: You must be male and a human, elf, half-elf, or halfling, and you must have Jaheira in your party. You must not let Jaheira
leave the party, die and be resurrected, or be turned to stone and un-petrified, as these reset her AI.
Romance With Aerie
You get this quest: If you bring it with you from SoA.
The quest is: The most unrealistic one in the game, but cute. (-:
Special conditions: You must be male and a human, elf, half-elf, halfling, or gnome, and you must have Aerie in your party. You must not let
Aerie leave the party, die and be resurrected, or turn to stone and be un-petrified, as all of those reset her AI.
How you know when this quest is over, for the frustrated/stuck
Romance With Viconia
You get this quest: If you bring it with you from SoA.
The quest is: Payoff for putting up with the unsatisfying ending in SoA.
Special conditions: You must be male and a human, half-elf, halfling, or half-orc, and you must have Viconia in your party. You must not let
Viconia leave the party, die and be resurrected, or turn to stone and be un-petrified, as all of those reset her AI.
Romance With Anomen
You get this quest: If you bring it with you from SoA.
The quest is: Nowhere near as well-thought-out as the romances for men.
Special conditions: You must be female and a human, elf, half-elf, or halfling, and you must have Anomen in your party. You must not let
Anomen leave the party, die and be resurrected, or turn to stone and be un-petrified, as all of those reset his AI.
Notes: This relationship will go slightly differently depending on Anomen's alignment.
The Mad General
You get this quest: From Melissan as soon as you arrive in Saradush.
The quest is: Find a way into General Gromnir's hideout, and either reason with or kill him.
Notes: This quest is necessary to continue the game. There are three distinct ways to get into Gromnir's castle; click
here for details.
You Don't Have To Live Like A Refugee
You get this quest: From the homeless elves in Saradush.
The quest is: Find them someplace safe to live.
Special conditions: You don't get this quest if they run away, so you have to get rid of the guards *without* initiating violence if
you want this little quest.
Treachery At The Gate
You get this quest: From the captain of the guard in the militia building.
The quest is: Find out who really opened the gates of Saradush to its enemies.
Notes: This quest has several possible resolutions. See here for details.
The Book Thief
You get this quest: From the scroll merchant in the Arcane building.
The quest is: Find out who stole his spellbook and bring it back.
Notes: This quest has two possible resolutions. See here for details.
Midnight Special
You get this quest: From an apparition in the old prison.
The quest is: Put his spirit to rest.
The Bigger They Are
You get this quest: From Melissan once you've finished The Mad General.
The quest is: Defeat Yaga Shura.
Notes: This quest is necessary to continue the game.
Two Hearts Are Better Than One
You get this quest: From Nyalee in the Forest of Mir.
The quest is: Bring her two hearts to make Yaga Shura mortal again.
Notes: This quest is necessary to continue the game.
Fratricide
You get this quest: From Melissan once you've finished The Bigger They Are.
The quest is: Kill two more of your Bhaalspawn siblings.
Notes: This quest is necessary to continue the game.
Devil His Due
You get this quest: From Marlowe in the inn.
The quest is: Get his daughter Malla's soul back.
Notes: There are several different ways to complete this quest. Click here for details.
Eye Of The Beholder
You get this quest: From the deranged wizard Iycanth in the "eyeball" level of Abizagal's lair.
The quest is: Retrieve a beholder eye for him.
Notes: There are two different ways to complete this quest. Click here for details.
Monkey Business
You get this quest: From Elminster, though unless you're a moron you probably already knew you'd have to do this.
The quest is: Go into the monastery and confront Balthazar.
Notes: This quest is necessary to continue the game. There are two different ways to get into the monastery; click
here for details.
